Forest

Forest stages have green ground, trees, mushrooms and mud. Trees are solid obstacles; mushrooms are natural springs that bounce the ball high. There are 21 forest stages: one in Level 1 and two or three in each Level after that.

Trees

A tree's trunk and crown are both solid. The trunk is a thin vertical column; the round crown on top deflects the ball in different directions depending on where it hits. Trees usually cut across the ball's path and make you send it over them or between two of them. You can't draw within 5 centimetres of a tree.

Mushrooms

A mushroom's stem is solid, but its cap is like Rubber blocks: it bounces the ball with almost no speed lost. Because the cap is round, the ball flies off differently depending on where it lands:

The underside of the cap is solid; try to send the ball under a mushroom and it may clip the edge.

Mud

Mud is the forest version of a sticky floor. A ball that touches it sinks without sliding and the shot ends; the stage doesn't restart. The only way past is over it, through the air. Keep the ball's landing well away from the mud.

Planning shots in the forest

  1. Find the mushrooms first. A mushroom cap is cheaper than a spring you'd draw yourself: it costs no ink.
  2. Send the ball towards the mushroom on an arc that lands it on the front of the cap. Shift the landing point by nudging the power with the plus and minus buttons.
  3. Then account for trees and mud along the ball's path after the mushroom.
